British-Era secret tunnel found inside Delhi Legislative Assembly, connects to Red Fort

  A tunnel-like structure was discovered at the Delhi Legislative Assembly on Thursday. Speaking to ANI, Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel said that the tunnel connects the legislative assembly to Red Fort and was used by the Britishers to avoid reprisal while moving freedom fighters.  Goel further informed that the Delhi Legislative Assembly, which was used as Central Legislative Assembly after shifting of capital from Kolkata to Delhi in 1912, was turned into a court in 1926 and Britishers used this tunnel to bring freedom fighters to the court.  "When I became an MLA in 1993, there was hearsay about a tunnel present here that goes till Red Fort and I tried to search for its history. Global supply chain in crisis : World gets ready to pay double prices for half the products across various sectors

 Trade is a global network and only works efficiently when all participants are healthy and cooperative. The U.S./China trade war ignited the U.S./Asia supply chain expansion. The ravages of the Coronavirus and its new variants, however, have destroyed this "diversification." 

Given that ships transport around 90% of the world's trade, the crew, and container crisis is disrupting the supply of everything from oil and iron ore to food and electronics.

Events have conspired to drive global supply chains towards breaking point, threatening the fragile flow of raw materials, parts, and consumer goods, according to companies, economists, and shipping specialists in almost every industry. 

Meanwhile, deadly floods & Typhoons in economic giants the US, China, and Germany have further ruptured global supply lines that had yet to recover from the first wave of the pandemic, compromising trillions of dollars of economic activity that rely on them.              Automakers, for example, are again being forced to stop production because of disruptions caused by COVID-19 outbreaks. The tech industry has already been hit hard by a global shortage of semiconductors this year, mainly from Asian suppliers. Earlier this year, the auto industry consensus was that the chip supply crunch would ease in the second half of 2021 - but now some senior executives say it will continue into 2022.

Each container that's delayed is economic activity that's restrained, heaping costs one box at a time on consumers and making it more challenging to put corn on consumers' tables or deliver presents for the holidays. As per the estimates of the top economists and industrialists, the prices of consumer products are expected to increase by 200% on average while the variety of products available in the market will be reduced across all sectors. 

It's also a lesson in the ripple effects across global supply chains, showing the limits of diversification as all networks are still closely connected with China.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announces their new humanoid robots.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced during the company's Al event on Thursday that the carmaker would branch out into humanoid robots.  Musk unveiled the Tesla Bot," a 5-foot-8, 125-pound robot that would have a screen where its face should be that would present information. According to the CEO, the humanoid robot would be capable of deadlifting 150 pounds and carrying about 45 pounds, though it would travel at only about 5 mph.  Therobot with a human-like appearance would carry out the work people like to do least, with "profound implications for the economy," Musk said at the company's Al Day event on Thursday. Xiaomi launches Mi Smart Band 6 in India. Price, features, other details.

  Xiaomi India has finally launched the Mi Band 6 in India. The fitness band was first launched in China earlier this year. The Mi Band 6 comes with a bigger OLED screen, in comparison with the Mi Band 5. The band gets a 1.56-inch AMOLED display.  The Mi Smart Band 6 has been priced at 3,499.
