Ayodhya is about to be put on world Tourism Map as Central Government is planning for high speed bullet trains connecting New Delhi with Varanasi & Prayagraj (Two pilgrimage cities of Uttar Pardesh). A team of National High-Speed Rail Corporation has arrived at Ayodhya and had some meetings with district officials to finalise land for the Bullet Train Station.
Bullet Train will cover a distance of over 670 km with a speed of 320 to 350 km per hour.A 130 km railway track will be laid connecting Ayodhya to Lucknow, which will be part of the 941.5 km high-speed railway project linking Delhi to Varanasi via Agra-Lucknow-Allahabad. As per some reports a portion of railway line may go underground in Lucknow & Agra. The Bullet train service is expected to reduce the 670 km distance between New Delhi & Ayodhya to 3 hours and will run at 320 km/hr.
An official said, as soon as the NOC ( No Objection Certificate) is recieved from the Airport Authority of India, since the terminal is estimated to be built near Shree Ramachandra International Airport on Lucknow-faizabad National Highway, the work on the project will start.
Two pairs of bullet trains will be running on the route- one between New Delhi & Avodhya and another between New Delhi & Varanasi. The cost of the entire project is estimated to be around 2 Lakh Crore.
