British-Era secret tunnel found inside Delhi Legislative Assembly, connects to Red Fort

A tunnel-like structure was discovered at the Delhi Legislative Assembly on Thursday. Speaking to ANI, Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel said that the tunnel connects the legislative assembly to Red Fort and was used by the Britishers to avoid reprisal while moving freedom fighters.  Goel further informed that the Delhi Legislative Assembly, which was used as Central Legislative Assembly after shifting of capital from Kolkata to Delhi in 1912, was turned into a court in 1926 and Britishers used this tunnel to bring freedom fighters to the court.  "When I became an MLA in 1993, there was hearsay about a tunnel present here that goes till Red Fort and I tried to search for its history. But there was no clarity over it," he stated.  "Now we have got the mouth of the tunnel but we are not digging it further as all the paths of the tunnel have been destroyed due to metro projects and sewer installations," he added.  The assembly speaker added that i...

China continues 'MISSION TO SURROUND INDIA FROM ALL SIDES' at an alarming rate, tensions rise for Indian government

China has been trying to systematically flex its muscle in the Indian Ocean region to encircle India, as India has an advantage over China in the maritime domain. China has already forged maritime ties with Pakistan, Seychelles, Mauritius, Maldives, Bangladesh, and Myanmar.

The Communist Party of China is not only focusing on growing its maritime ties but also its military bases in these country where it starts with lending loans and slowly iin return of favour and development, it demands to build an overseas military base on their land.

The latest evident target is Sri Lanka as the country has already declared emergency on food & struggles with its economy.

By gaining foothold in Sri Lanka, China can directly challenge the Indian Navy's superiority in the Indian Ocean region and gain control of critical maritime seaway through which China's most crude oil passes.

Chinese investments and presence till now were confined mostly in the southern coastline of Sri Lanka, away from Indian maritime border. The northern coastline which has a significant Tamil speaking population was relatively free from Chinese investments.

Sri Lanka in February this year awarded a $12 million hybrid solar and wind energy project to a Chinese firm. This project will come up in three islets off the Jaffna Peninsula, just 50Km from Tamil Nadu.

China is also building the Colombo port city by reclaiming about 269 hectares of land from the ocean, by far the biggest foreign investment for Sri Lanka costing about $1.2 bn.

The port city will be governed by a 7-member commission, whose members can be of foreign origin. The commission has been given overreaching and extraordinary powers of bypassing the local laws to act in an independent manner and allow foreign investors to have an unbridled control over local resources.

Though India too has supported Sri Lanka with financial assistances it cannot match the might of China which is the largest creditor in the world. This financial crisis can be further used by China to debt trap Sri Lanka and alienate India.

China bans video games for under 18 kids to only 3 hours per week

Kids and teens under 18 years old in China will only be allowed up to three hours per week to play online video games, according to new rules published Monday by China’s National Press and Publication Administration. The move is a fresh blow to the country’s gaming giants from Tencent to NetEase, which have dealt with an onslaught of regulation this year in areas from anti-monopoly to data protection. That has spooked investors and dented the value of Chinese tech stocks. According to a translated notice about the new rules, people under 18 will be allowed to play video games one hour a day between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. on weekends and legal holidays. The agency billed the rules as a way to safeguard children’s physical and mental health. Following this news of the neighboring country, netizens on Twitter too demanded that such a decision should be taken in India as it will curb the screen usage of kids. However, psychiatrists from around the country said it will have a drastic negat...
