British-Era secret tunnel found inside Delhi Legislative Assembly, connects to Red Fort

  A tunnel-like structure was discovered at the Delhi Legislative Assembly on Thursday. Speaking to ANI, Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel said that the tunnel connects the legislative assembly to Red Fort and was used by the Britishers to avoid reprisal while moving freedom fighters.  Goel further informed that the Delhi Legislative Assembly, which was used as Central Legislative Assembly after shifting of capital from Kolkata to Delhi in 1912, was turned into a court in 1926 and Britishers used this tunnel to bring freedom fighters to the court.  "When I became an MLA in 1993, there was hearsay about a tunnel present here that goes till Red Fort and I tried to search for its history. O M Nambiar ; P T Usha's Coach Died

 OM Nambiar, a well-known sports coach, died on Thursday in Kozhikode. He was 89 years old.

OM Nambiar is the man who raised PT Usha, one of the greatest athletes of all time.

Padma Shri was bestowed upon him by the nation in 2021. He also received the Dronacharya award in 1985.

In 1968, he received a coaching diploma from NIS-Patiala, and in 1971, he joined the Kerala Sports Council. He was tasked with locating talented athletes throughout the state.

Shiny Wilson (four-time Olympian and gold medalist in the 800m at the 1985 Asia Championships) and Vandana Rao are among the international medalists he has coached, in addition to Usha.

Nambiar’s “lifetime dream” was to win an Olympic medal for his most famous ward, Usha.
During his mentorship from 1977 to 1990, he shaped Usha into one of India’s finest athletes.

Usha first came under Nambiar’s tutelage in 1977, when she won a race in a selection trial for a sports school in Kannur.

Nambiar also helped Usha prepare for the 400m hurdles in 1984. She had previously run the 100m, 200m, and 400m.

Under Nambiar’s tutelage, Usha also won four gold medals at the 1986 Asian Games (in the 200m, 400m, 400m hurdles, and 4x400m relay).

Full of Afghan Evacuees, Aircraft hijacked by armed men in Kabul: Flown to Iran instead of Ukraine

A Ukrainian plane that arrived in Afghanistan to evacuate Ukrainians was reportedly hijacked on Tuesday by unidentified people who flew it into Iran, Ukraine's Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Yenin said.                    "Last Sunday, our plane was hijacked by other people. On Tuesday, the plane was practically stolen from us, it flew into Iran with an unidentified group of passengers onboard instead of airlifting Ukrainians.
