British-Era secret tunnel found inside Delhi Legislative Assembly, connects to Red Fort

  A tunnel-like structure was discovered at the Delhi Legislative Assembly on Thursday. Speaking to ANI, Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel said that the tunnel connects the legislative assembly to Red Fort and was used by the Britishers to avoid reprisal while moving freedom fighters.  Goel further informed that the Delhi Legislative Assembly, which was used as Central Legislative Assembly after shifting of capital from Kolkata to Delhi in 1912, was turned into a court in 1926 and Britishers used this tunnel to bring freedom fighters to the court.  "When I became an MLA in 1993, there was hearsay about a tunnel present here that goes till Red Fort and I tried to search for its history. Tokyo 2020 Paralympics games begin today

The Paralympic Games will officially be declared open on Tuesday evening by Japan's Emperor Naruhito with 4,400 athletes from 162 teams taking part this year.
India's 54 athletes are set to compete in nine sports archery, athletics, badminton, canoeing, shooting, swimming, powerlifting, table tennis and taekwondo starting tomorrow morning. Just like the Tokyo Olympics held earlier, strict Covid-19 protocols will be in place at the Para-Games and the crowd will not be allowed to attend the events.

  Xiaomi India has finally launched the Mi Band 6 in India. The fitness band was first launched in China earlier this year.
