British-Era secret tunnel found inside Delhi Legislative Assembly, connects to Red Fort

A tunnel-like structure was discovered at the Delhi Legislative Assembly on Thursday. Speaking to ANI, Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel said that the tunnel connects the legislative assembly to Red Fort and was used by the Britishers to avoid reprisal while moving freedom fighters.  Goel further informed that the Delhi Legislative Assembly, which was used as Central Legislative Assembly after shifting of capital from Kolkata to Delhi in 1912, was turned into a court in 1926 and Britishers used this tunnel to bring freedom fighters to the court.  "When I became an MLA in 1993, there was hearsay about a tunnel present here that goes till Red Fort and I tried to search for its history. But there was no clarity over it," he stated.  "Now we have got the mouth of the tunnel but we are not digging it further as all the paths of the tunnel have been destroyed due to metro projects and sewer installations," he added.  The assembly speaker added that i...

Taliban says it has the 'right' to speak for Muslims in Kashmir and in India, calls out government

Raising a big red flag for Indian government and the security forces under the Taliban regime, the terror group has said that it has the right to raise its voice for Muslims anywhere including in Kashmir.

While New Delhi has asked Taliban, which is expected to soon unveil the new government, to not let the soil of Afghanistan be used by terrorist groups against India, the insurgent group has raised concerns by its remarks.

Speaking to BBC Urdu Suhail Shaheen said, "We have this right, being Muslims, to raise our voice for Muslims in Kashmir, India, and any other country."

"We will raise our voice and say that Muslims are your own people, your own citizens. They are entitled to equal rights under your laws," he was quoted as saying.

The Taliban's remarks on Kashmir came after al Qaeda, in its congratulatory message for the insurgent group, called for the liberation of Kashmir.

However, as of now, Taliban spokesperson said that they do not have any plans of raising arms against any country but they will not be stopped from talking about Muslims around the globe as they are one of them.

The development came days after a meeting between the Taliban and the Indian government. In the first formal and publicly acknowledged contact, India's Ambassador to Qatar Deepak Mittal met senior Taliban leader Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai.

Interestingly it is the same Taliban who has massacred thousands of Muslims across Afghanistan and still continue to snatch away rights their rights by forcing Sharia laws throughout the country.

China bans video games for under 18 kids to only 3 hours per week

Kids and teens under 18 years old in China will only be allowed up to three hours per week to play online video games, according to new rules published Monday by China’s National Press and Publication Administration. The move is a fresh blow to the country’s gaming giants from Tencent to NetEase, which have dealt with an onslaught of regulation this year in areas from anti-monopoly to data protection. That has spooked investors and dented the value of Chinese tech stocks. According to a translated notice about the new rules, people under 18 will be allowed to play video games one hour a day between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. on weekends and legal holidays. The agency billed the rules as a way to safeguard children’s physical and mental health. Following this news of the neighboring country, netizens on Twitter too demanded that such a decision should be taken in India as it will curb the screen usage of kids. However, psychiatrists from around the country said it will have a drastic negat...

Barely a couple of days after the Kerala High Court directed the state to get rid of the practice of 'nokku-kooli' which literally means 'gawking charges', a truck of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) was blocked on Sunday by workers demanding money.  Police said they received a complaint from ISRO based on which they reached the spot and found the workers preventing from entering the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) facility at Thumba here.  SRO employee Rajeswari told PTI that the cargo was so heavy that it cannot be offloaded with the use of only hydraulic systems. Despite this, she said, the people wanted money for letting the cargo in.  The VSSC officials said their truck was stranded for more than four hours after workers sought 10 lakh. Later they informed the CM's office about this and labour minister V Sivankutty intervened and the truck was allowed to go inside the high security premises after several rounds of talks and protest. The issue was...
