British-Era secret tunnel found inside Delhi Legislative Assembly, connects to Red Fort

A tunnel-like structure was discovered at the Delhi Legislative Assembly on Thursday. Speaking to ANI, Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel said that the tunnel connects the legislative assembly to Red Fort and was used by the Britishers to avoid reprisal while moving freedom fighters.  Goel further informed that the Delhi Legislative Assembly, which was used as Central Legislative Assembly after shifting of capital from Kolkata to Delhi in 1912, was turned into a court in 1926 and Britishers used this tunnel to bring freedom fighters to the court.  "When I became an MLA in 1993, there was hearsay about a tunnel present here that goes till Red Fort and I tried to search for its history. Taliban says it has the 'right' to speak for Muslims in Kashmir and in India, calls out government

Raising a big red flag for Indian government and the security forces under the Taliban regime, the terror group has said that it has the right to raise its voice for Muslims anywhere including in Kashmir.

While New Delhi has asked Taliban, which is expected to soon unveil the new government, to not let the soil of Afghanistan be used by terrorist groups against India, the insurgent group has raised concerns by its remarks.

Speaking to BBC Urdu Suhail Shaheen said, "We have this right, being Muslims, to raise our voice for Muslims in Kashmir, India, and any other country."

"We will raise our voice and say that Muslims are your own people, your own citizens. They are entitled to equal rights under your laws," he was quoted as saying.

The Taliban's remarks on Kashmir came after al Qaeda, in its congratulatory message for the insurgent group, called for the liberation of Kashmir.

However, as of now, Taliban spokesperson said that they do not have any plans of raising arms against any country but they will not be stopped from talking about Muslims around the globe as they are one of them.

The development came days after a meeting between the Taliban and the Indian government. In the first formal and publicly acknowledged contact, India's Ambassador to Qatar Deepak Mittal met senior Taliban leader Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai.

Interestingly it is the same Taliban who has massacred thousands of Muslims across Afghanistan and still continue to snatch away rights their rights by forcing Sharia laws throughout the country.
